Nash and Edgecombe Community Gardens

There are many neighborhoods in Nash and Edgecombe County that could use more access to fresh foods, not only this but we can spruce up our neighborhoods with a beautiful outdoor space. It only takes a bit of planning to brighten up the street, grow veggies for a fresh salad, and connect with the people around you. We plan to place our first community garden in Downtown Rocky Mount and then branch out to more neighborhoods in our local towns such as Spring Hope, Nashville, Tarboro, and Pinetops. This will foster a sense of pride and also allow members of the community to get involved with others.
